I first met Anderson during my initial visit to Brazil in 1998. He eventually became a graduate student in my studio and we have stayed in close contact ever since, becoming long-lasting friends I truly admired his work ethic and musicality. He is a gifted composer and arrange. He is also a insightful, dedicated educator. Whenever I can, I visit Natal to be with him and his students. This group is comprised of his students and a fun group to play with. Maha Jazz is also a very interesting club, my second time playing there.
