Looking forward to being back in Argentina seeing and playing music with old friends and meeting new ones. Performing at the La Plata Jazz Festival and teaching at the EMU 6th Seminario Internacional de Jazz for an exciting and intense week.
Performing at the Boris Jazz Club in Buenos Aires on Sunday, November 9 with the Boris Big Band and with my old Brazilian friends – Renato Vasconcellos, Bruno Medina, Paulo André, Oswaldo Amorim and Leander Motta on Monday, November 10. Will be at the Boris Jazz Club again on Tuesday, November 11 with David Becker, Jeff Siegle and Rich Syracuse. Wednesday, November 12 with Alejandro Demogli, Jeff Siegle and Rich Syracuse at the Thelonous Club. Friday, November 14 I’ll be at the La Plata Jazz Festival at the Centro Cultural Islas Malvinas. Very different and exciting groups and locations.
Joining me at the La Plata Jazz Festival will be the University of Louisville (UofL) International Jazz Ensemble: Thiago Wojtowicz – tenor sax (Brazil), Thomaz Souza – alto sax (Brazil), Claudia Martinez – guitar (Ecuador), Iara Gomes – piano (Brazil), Andrey Gonsalves – bass (Brazil) and Israel Cuenca – drums (Ecuador)
