I been so fortunate to have visited Brazil so many times. I have seen so much of their country, made so many friends, enjoyed hearing and learning to play their music, eating their wonderful food and so much more. Doing so has had a major impact on my life and I get to return once again. Melissa and I will be traveling to Brasilia, Goiania, Iguaçu and Vitoria.
I will be performing and presenting master classes at Universidade de Brasília (UnB) and Escola de Musica. In spring of 2015 I recorded my CD Hora Certa with four amazing musicians from Brasilia – Hamilton Pinheiro – baixo, Eudes Carvalho – guitarra, Flávio Silva – piano and Pedro Almeida – bateria. While Hamilton and I have played numerous times since, this group has not played together since until now when we present music from Hora Certa at Casa Thomas Jefferson. It will be a fun evening.

I will also teach and perform at the Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG) in Goiania and Faculdade de Música do Espírito Santo (FAMES) in Vitoria and performing at A Casa at the Foz do Iguaçu. I am going to finally get to see Iguaçu Falls and maybe teach at the university there. I know it’s going to a great time because it’s like a second home.
